Ownership doesn't matter, because you're replacing the owner later on. ![]() For me (because I didn't want to have to build the ACL from scratch in powershell, I'd rather build it with the GUI and copy what I know is good). So, here's the thing, I hate ACLs in powershell (at least with Get-/Set-Acl), I think they could have done a better job with that - its like they need a Add-ACE / Remove-ACE cmdlets.įor the C:\folder you use as a model for permissions, I'm assuming this needs to be set with the CREATOR OWNER permissions to Full, SYSTEM to full, Admins to Full, do I need to do anything with ownership?
